Thornton Tomasetti Foundation

The Thornton Tomasetti Foundation was established in February 2008 to support the education and community outreach activities of young engineers and architects. Since 2008 we've raised over $600,000 in support of two primary missions:

  • Fund fellowships, scholarships and internships for students studying building engineering, design or technology.

  • Provide financial support for individuals and organizations pursuing philanthropic activities related to building engineering, design or technology.

  • 2016 Awards Winners

ACE Mentor Program

Charlie Thornton, the co-founder of our firm, also founded the Architecture, Construction and Engineering (ACE) Mentor Program in 1995. The mission of ACE is to engage, excite and enlighten high school students to pursue careers in architecture, engineering, and construction through mentoring, and to support their advancement in the industry. The program reaches over 8,000 students annually in more than 100 cities across the United States. To date it has awarded more than $6 million in scholarships.

Since ACE’s inception, our firm has been heavily involved in the organization, helping found new affiliates and garnering support. Thornton Tomasetti people are active at all levels of ACE, from mentors and board members of local affiliates to leaders in the National Affiliates Council and National Board of Directors.
