Colin Brown has more than 17 years of experience providing structural analysis, design and review of a variety of structures, and has extensive experience of working in both the U.S. and the U.K. He specializes in the design of reinforced concrete, steel, masonry and wood structures utilized in various building types including commercial, educational, hospitality, residential, retail and sports facilities. Colin manages projects in all aspects of design and construction including coordination with clients, architects, and other design and construction team members, along with supervision of the engineering team. Some notable projects include the 60,000-seat soccer stadium in Basra, Iraq; the 300,000-square-foot Yale University Biology Building, New Haven, Conn.; the 1.5-million-square-foot mixed-use Ridge Hill Village Center, Yonkers, N.Y.; the Long Island University Wellness Recreation and Athletic Center in Brooklyn; and the Destiny USA retail complex, Syracuse, N.Y.

He is a registered chartered structural engineer in the United Kingdom and is an active member of the Structural Engineers Association of New York and the Institution of Structural Engineers in the United Kingdom. He holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland.
