Christopher Pinto is the Building Performance practice leader for the firm’s Mid-Atlantic/South U.S. region. He has more than 12 years in structural analysis and design, specializing in investigative projects and restoration of historic structures. Chris is proficient in static, dynamic, and nonlinear analysis and evaluation of buildings, parking garages, space frames, domes and scaffolds under the effects of wind, seismic forces, vibration, and blast loads. His experience includes work on commercial and residential buildings, government facilities, sports venues, airports and hotels. Notable projects include analysis and design for repairs to the U.S. Capitol Dome, replacement of the mechanization system for moveable roof panels at Major League Baseball’s Miller Park, and condition assessments of multiple buildings as part of the firm’s World Trade Center disaster response.

Chris is a licensed professional engineer in Pennsylvania, New York and Wisconsin. He holds bachelor’s degrees in both civil and architectural engineering and a master’s degree in civil engineering, all from Drexel University. He is the author of several published papers and has taught at the Institute of Design and Construction in Brooklyn, N.Y.
