Narinder Chhabra has more than 40 years of experience in the design of structures including healthcare facilities, commercial, mixed-use and long-span structures in both steel and concrete. His responsibility includes all phases of design from schematic through construction administration phases. His supervisory design experience includes complex project using a variety of systems and materials. Mr. Chhabra also has extensive experience in structural investigation, remedials, renovations, additions to existing structures and optimization of structural system.

His extensive experience in the rehabilitation and modernization of existing structures includes such projects as the Chock Full O’Nuts processing and distribution facility in Brooklyn; several New York City government agencies; an 1840 historic building at 280 Broadway, and several structural renovation projects for the National Broadcasting Corporation at Rockefeller Center.

Chhabra is also experienced in the design of new structures, including two major high-bay air cargo buildings at Newark International Airport totaling 380,000 square feet; long-span modular hangars at the Newark Airport Corporate Aviation Center, the Rochester, N.Y. airport and several New York City Public Schools.

He is a licensed professional engineering in Connecticut, Florida, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania and South Carolina. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Birla Engineering College, Ranchi, India, and a master’s degree in structural engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York.
