Daniel A. Cuoco, P.E.
President & Chief Executive Officer
As president, Mr. Daniel A. Cuoco has been directly involved in the investigation of numerous building failures, ranging from field reconnaissance to collapse analysis to expert testimony services. Dan led the World Trade Center structural engineering disaster response team in the assessment of buildings in the immediate collapse area, demolition and temporary stabilization procedures, design of grillages and analysis of existing structures to support construction equipment, coordination of the survey monitoring of existing damaged structures, and inspection of approximately 400 buildings in the area surrounding the collapse site. Additional major projects he has investigated include L’Ambiance Plaza lift-slab building collapse, Hartford Civic Center roof collapse, East Coldenham School wall collapse, Journal Square ceiling collapse, and Javits Convention Center space frame node failures.
Dan also has extensive experience in the design of major projects, such as long-span structures, high-rise buildings, hotels, industrial buildings, airport structures, schools, parking structures, hospitals and special structures. He has authored numerous technical papers, and has lectured extensively at universities and engineering conferences internationally.
Dan is a registered professional engineer in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Florida, Nevada, and South Carolina. He holds master’s and bachelor’s degrees in civil engineering from New York University and the City College of New York, respectively, and an MBA degree from Adelphia University.
