Leo Galletta joined the firm in 1971 and has more than 40 years of structural engineering experience. He has designed structural systems for buildings in virtually all market sectors, including healthcare, education, aviation, cultural, hospitality, commercial and retail, sports, and industrial. Notable projects include the Margot and Bill Winspear Opera House and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. As a lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, Leo acquired experience in all project phases including estimates, design, specification and field inspection. He has taught civil engineering at The Cooper Union, New York University, and Hofstra University, and lectured as a visiting professor at Southern Methodist University. He is a member of Structural Engineers Association of Texas and The Society for Marketing Professional Services. He is a licensed professional engineer in Texas and Florida, and holds three degrees in civil engineering: a bachelor’s degree from Manhattan College, and master’s and Ph.D. degrees from New York University.
