Mr. W. Steven Hofmeister leads the Kansas City office, which has played a key role in the design and modeling of several major stadiums and arenas. Steve has more than 20 years of experience in structural design and the project management of major structural engineering developments. Prior to joining Thornton Tomasetti in 2004, he participated in the design, design management and construction administration of sports projects for major architectural/engineering and construction firms, including design-build and design-assist projects. Steve’s portfolio includes the New Meadowlands Stadium in New Jersey, the Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh, the new Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, New York, and the Bank of Oklahoma Center in Tulsa.

Steve is a registered professional engineer and structural engineer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and has undertaken graduate studies at the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Kansas.
