Gary P. Mancini, P.E., LEED AP
Senior Principal
Mr. Gary Mancini is the principal in charge of many challenging structural design and investigation projects serving a great variety of building types for clients that include commercial and residential owners / developers, institutions, attorneys and insurance companies. He is responsible for the design of new structures as well as major renovations and rehabilitations of older and historically significant structures. In his more than 20 years of experience, Gary has developed and supervised a variety of façade evaluations, structural investigations, feasibility studies, structural alterations and forensic analyses involving reinforced concrete, steel, masonry, stone and other building materials. He has also served as an expert witness. He currently heads the building envelope forensic practice in Thornton Tomasetti’s New York City office where his responsibilities include office management, supervising project teams, and coordinating the technical and budget aspects of projects.
Gary holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from The Cooper Union, and a master’s degree in civil engineering from Rutgers University.
