MARK J. TAMARO, P.E., LEED AP

Email | VCardMark Tamaro, the leader of the Washington, D.C. office, has nearly 20 years of experience in the structural design of new buildings and investigation and renovation of existing structures, including historic buildings and monuments. He specializes in large-scale, federal projects and is well-versed in design-bid-build, fast-track and design-build delivery methods. Mark’s portfolio includes a variety of steel, concrete, masonry and timber-framed buildings for both private and government clients. Many projects have incorporated anti-terrorism and force protection measures.
Mark is a licensed professional engineer in the District of Columbia, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, North Carolina, Pennsylvania and Virginia. He has authored numerous articles and publications and presented several papers and lectures at industry conferences. He volunteers as a structural specialist for the Maryland Urban Search and Rescue Task Force One, serving as a first responder to several building collapses since joining in 1997. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from Lehigh University.
