Leonid B. Zborovsky, P.E., S.E.

Senior Principal

With more than 30 years of serving the construction industry in the United States, Mr. Leonid Zborovsky has provided structural design, design project management and construction supervision for numerous high-profile projects in the United States and worldwide. Leonid serves on the leadership team responsible for the integration of U.S., European and Eastern Europe operations.

Leonid leads the Thornton Tomasetti Moscow office and is responsible for the structural design, project development and construction technology services of notable high-rise projects in Moscow such as Federation Towers and Eurasia Towers – the tallest buildings in Europe – residential complexes for New Ring of Moscow and others. Under his supervision, the Moscow office is implementing Building Information Modeling and Integrated Project Delivery technologies on several Moscow projects. His extensive range of design experience allows him to lead projects that utilize various types of structural materials such as structural steel, cast-in-place and precast concrete, timber and masonry.

Leonid has been responsible for the design and design supervision of diverse projects, including high-rise commercial and residential buildings, aviation and marine terminals, schools and universities, and sport and entertainment facilities. In New York City he played a leading role in the design of the World Financial Center and Winter Garden and was the key leader in their structural reconstruction after September 11.

Leonid holds a master’s degree in engineering from Kiev State University and is a licensed professional engineer in the United States.
