Abraham Gutman, P.E., F. ASCE
Senior Vice President
Mr. Abraham Gutman’s experience includes involvement in the design and construction of hundreds of millions of dollars worth of projects. His design credits include the 6-million square foot World Financial Center in New York, the 1.5-million square foot Mellon Bank Building in Pittsburgh, the 1,500-car parking structure for New Jersey Institute of Technology, the 1,000-car, four-level parking structure for Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the 1,300-car, 6-level parking structure for the Stamford Transportation Center in Connecticut.
A registered professional engineer in New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Florida, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, Abe is a fellow of American Society of Civil Engineers and has been published in numerous professional technical publications. In 1987 he received the Bronze Award from the James F. Lincoln Arc Welding Foundation for the design of the roof top dome on Building B at the World Financial Center. In 1986 he was recognized among “Those Who Made Marks” by Engineering News-Record.
Abe is past chairman of the Parking Consultants Council, and a member of the National Parking Association and the International Parking Institute. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil engineering from The City College of New York, and undertook post-graduate studies in the Ph.D. program in structural mechanics at New York University.
