Principal

Robert Sinn is the leader of the Thornton Tomasetti Building Structure practice. He has significant experience designing structure systems for medium- to large-scale projects, including mid- and high-rise buildings and long-span structures. His projects include commercial, educational, aviation, performing arts and residential facilities. His responsibilities include project management, business development, standards development, quality control and quality assurance, as well as technical involvement in all phases of projects from concept design through construction.

He is a license structural engineer in Illinois and a licensed professional engineer in Illinois and New York. Bob holds a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University and a master’s degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, both in civil engineering.
