Bruce Arita is the Property Loss Consulting practice leader for the firm’s West U.S. region. He has served as architect of record for buildings and project developments of various size and complexity, both public and private, throughout Southern California. His specialized expertise includes exterior envelope diagnostics, waterproofing and moisture intrusion analysis, property due diligence evaluations and assessment, and building repair programs. He has broad experience with natural disaster investigations and building code analysis. Bruce has been the principal investigator for numerous building evaluations and forensic assignments where expert investigation, consulting, and trial testimony has been required.

Prior to merging his firm with Thornton Tomasetti in 2007, Bruce was president of Pulaski Arita Olsson, Inc., an architecture firm specializing in investigation and repair of existing buildings. He was previously associated with several architectural firms gaining experience in building design, construction plans and specifications, and contract administration.

Bruce is a licensed architect in California and is a member of the American Institute of Architects. He holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
