Daniel F. Marquardt, P.E., S.E.
Managing Principal
Mr. Daniel F. Marquardt has been involved in the design and construction industry since 1976 and is the managing principal responsible for Thornton Tomasetti offices in Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles and Irvine, California. In addition to his regional and corporate responsibilities, he serves as principal in charge of the structural design of significant architectural projects, with a special focus on cultural facilities.
Daniel serves as chairman of the board of trustees for the Frank Lloyd Wright Foundation, a not-for-profit educational organization that includes the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture, the Frank Lloyd Wright Archives, Taliesin in Spring Green, Wisconsin, and Taliesin West in Scottsdale, Arizona. He also serves on the board of governors of the Thornton Tomasetti Foundation and the board of trustees of Taliesin Preservation, Inc.
He is a licensed structural engineer in Illinois and a licensed professional engineer in more than a dozen states. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville.
