Emmanuel E. Velivasakis, P.E., F. ASCE, LEED AP
Managing Principal
Mr. Emmanuel Velivasakis has more 35 years comprehensive structural design experience with materials such as structural steel, cast-in-place concrete, fiber reinforced plastics, timber, precast and pre-stressed concrete and masonry. His wide range of design experience allows him to participate in the design of various project types. He is responsible for supervising projects ranging from commercial buildings and schools, parking structures to temporary structures. He took part in the design of such notable projects as the restoration of the U.S. Capitol Dome in Washington, D.C., as well as in the designs of many new high-rise commercial and institutional buildings worldwide.
His extensive investigation experience includes numerous types of structures with exterior wall problems and structural failures. He has provided expert witness testimonies for cases involving a variety of types of structures, structural failures and construction related claims. Manny was one of the key leaders the World Trade Center structural engineering disaster response team in the assessment of buildings in the immediate collapse area, demolition and temporary stabilization procedures and analysis of existing structures to support construction equipment, and coordination of the survey monitoring of existing damaged structures.
Manny is a registered professional engineer many U.S. states and Europe and has published numerous papers and articles. He holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in civil and structural engineering from the City College of the City University of New York.
