David Weihing is responsible for leading and overseeing the development of structural designs for local, national, and international projects. He draws on more than 17 years of experience working closely with all partners of a project team. His passion for meeting project-wide goals dovetails with his leadership in the Chicago office in the use of Building Information Modeling and in the practice towards Integrated Project Delivery.

Dave’s project credits include commercial high-rise, healthcare, residential, sports, and specialty structures. His leadership and technical skills have been instrumental in the success of projects including 1 Bank of America Center, Prentice Women’s Hospital, 191 North Wacker Drive, the CBS Media Tower at Block 37, and renovations of US Cellular Field. His specialty experiences include structural damage assessment at Miller Park in Milwaukee, strengthening of a long-span stadium roof, and analysis of concrete creep and shrinkage effects of high-rise structures.

Dave is a licensed structural and professional engineer in Illinois. He has a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, and undertook graduate studies at the Illinois Institute of Technology.
