Matthew Olender began his career in forensic engineering with Thornton Tomasetti in 2001. His specialties include structural investigations, emergency response, structural analysis, concrete and steel repair, renovations and construction litigation. His portfolio includes the façade renovation at the Shops at Sunset Place, South Miami, Fla.; Sunlife Stadium addition in Miami, Fla.; renovations to the Galleria Mall in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.; emergency response to the partial roof collapse at the Golden Living Center, Atlanta, Ga.; and condition assessment of the Roosevelt Island Tramway in New York City. His responsibilities include supervising project teams and collaborating with architects, contractors, developers, property managers, attorneys, building owners and engineers.

Matt is a licensed professional engineer in Florida and New York and a licensed special inspector in Florida. He holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Clarkson University and a master’s degree in structural engineering from Duke University.
