The 4th International Congress on Construction History opens its doors in the beautiful cornice of l'Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris. So far, very interesting presentations on brick tradition in Scotland, Le Corbusier's use of steel windows and models made for the construction of St. Paul's Cathedral in London - on this subject, the models provided architectural guidance but there was no structural proof that structure would have worked.
