This poem was composed to inform you of this past year’s
Sustainability projects and accomplishments — they show our mission is clear!
Village Centre multi-family up in Brewer, Maine,
Is clearly and proudly a significant sustainability gain.
Best Multifamily & Affordable Housing — says North American Passive House,
Innovation, imagination and certification — we surely do espouse!
Zurich Insurance Group got a brand new LEED Platinum HQ,
Largest Core & Shell certification in the US — hey, it’s what we do!
Vasakronan, over in Sweden… so many LEED buildings. This never gets old!
Our fourth year added 40 more EB:OM certifications — and 10 got Gold.
Our first WELL Building Certification projects are underway.
A new accreditation we’ve earned, with better health on its way!
Took a deep dive into the Living Building Challenge materials petal.
For a higher ed client with a unique project, on their values they won’t settle.
At the New England coast and in Cali, at Larkin Substation,
We showed our net-zero expertise all across the nation!
Did more embodied carbon analyses; the interest is on the rise.
Our project clients now are seeing why and considering this is wise.
Interim design BREEAM certifications…well, we got two!
London’s Barley Mow and Hatton Square — a new practice breakthrough!
Computational Fluid Dynamics? Yeah, we are all over this.
Doing it in-house now…a new skill set, we do not miss!
Did extensive daylight and reflection analysis on a Chicago tower,
This led to new parametric tool creation, giving our analysis more power.
Our Design Explorer was enhanced for analysis of all those modeling runs,
Providing visual clarity of design information, which of course, nobody shuns!
What a great year it has been for us, the year of Twenty Sixteen!
We will keep on keeping on with our important work — to keep the planet green!
