Jenifer Johnson

(New York, N.Y. – January 4, 2010) – Thornton Tomasetti, the international engineering design firm with practices in building structure, building skin and building performance, announces that Jenifer Johnson joins the firm as senior associate in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

As a member of the corporate business development team, Johnson will have responsibility for business development efforts nationally. She brings more than 16 years of industry experience to the new position. Since 2007, she was associate principal at Bliss & Nyitray, responsible for business development, marketing, strategic planning and brand identity. She was previously a principal of J2 Inc., a business development firm, and served as business development manager for Professional Services Industries, The Shiff Group and Singer Architects.

Ms. Johnson is past president of the South Florida chapters of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) and Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). She served as a committee chair for the Urban Land Institute (ULI), and was a committee member for the Florida Educational Planners Assn. and the International Area Arena Managers Assn. She is also a past member of the Stadium Managers Association, Society of College and University Planners and National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics.
