Ronald Jezerinac

(Fort Lauderdale, Fla., April 12, 2010) – Thornton Tomasetti, the international engineering firm with practices in building structure, building skin and building performance, announces that Ronald M. Jezerinac Jr., P.E., S.E. has joined the firm as vice president and manager of the Florida office.

Jezerinac brings nearly two decades of experience to Thornton Tomasetti. Most recently, he served as president at the structural engineering firm Bliss & Nyitray, Inc., where he held broad responsibilities for the overall performance of the firm. Jezerinac oversaw a successful rebranding campaign and the pursuit and retention of many new clients throughout Florida and the U.S. In addition, he led the strategic initiative to strengthen the company’s infrastructure and operating systems.

Working with the current manager of the Thornton Tomasetti Florida office, Senior Associate Matt Olender, P.E., LEED AP, Jezerinac will take a leadership role in expanding the firm’s Florida operations and developing opportunities to serve clients across the Southeast, and in the Caribbean and Latin America.

Jezerinac has a diverse portfolio of projects, including structural design of numerous stadium, resort, health care and higher education projects and the evaluation and structural renovation of existing buildings. He holds a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Case Western Reserve University, is a licensed engineer in 10 states and a threshold inspector in Florida.
