Tallest Building in China Breaks Ground
December 01, 2008We are honored to share with you the attached news on the recent ground-breaking for the Thornton Tomasetti-engineered Shanghai Tower. As the structural engineers for the project, we are extremely proud to help design another of the world’s most distinctive and innovative high-rise buildings. At 632 meters (2,074 feet), Shanghai Tower is the world’s third tallest building under construction, after Nakheel Tower, at 1000+ meters, and Burj Dubai, at 800+ meters, according to November data from the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat.
