Thornton Tomasetti, the international engineering firm, announces that the Acadia Gateway Center administrative and maintenance facility has received LEED Gold Certification. Fore Solutions, the green building consulting company acquired by Thornton Tomasetti in 2012, provided LEED consulting services for the project located in Trenton, Maine at the gateway to Acadia National Park, one of the most visited national parks in the United States.

Thornton Tomasetti, the international engineering firm, announces that the Genzyme Corporation Biologics Support Center in Framingham, Mass., has received LEED Gold Certification. Fore Solutions, the green building consulting company acquired by Thornton Tomasetti in 2012, provided LEED consulting services for the project. The 180,000 square-foot, six-story laboratory was completed in 2011 as part of the master expansion plan for the corporate campus.

Thornton Tomasetti Project Wins AISC Merit Award

Thornton Tomasetti, the international engineering firm, has received an American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) IDEAS² Merit Award for its work on Cincinnati’s Great American Tower at Queen City Square roof-top tiara. The firm was presented with an award for excellence in steel-frame building assembly for projects with a construction value of less than $15 million.

AISC announced the winners of this year’s IDEAS² Awards, which recognize innovative engineering and architectural design projects using structural steel, on April 18 during the annual NASCC: The Steel Conference in Grapevine, Texas.
