Shanghai Taipingqiao Lot 126 and 127 Development

Construction is under way on the Shanghai Taipingqiao Lot 126 and 127, for which we are providing structural engineering services for architect Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates PC. The architect of record is Eastern China Architectural Design Institute. The 214,000 m² (2.3 million sf) development comprises two 132.95-meter office buildings, a three-story retail podium featuring a green roof and a 160-ft pedestrian bridge. A three-story tension cable curtain wall at the main entrance is supported by a perimeter moment frame. The structure has a 28-story concrete shear wall core and perimeter moment frames. The foundation system consists of mat on pile foundation and concrete basement levels with slurry wall construction. Lot 127 is scheduled to be completed in 2010 and Lot 126 in 2011. The development will seek LEED certification.
