Lofts at River East Arts Center

Construction is scheduled to begin on the renovation and conversion of the Lofts at River East Arts Center, a six-story, 450,000-SF early 20th-century building. To preserve the appearance of the building, we determined the allowable stress suitable for masonry piers and timber columns and designed reinforcement schemes to allow the originals to remain in place. The architect is GREC Architects, with Thornton Tomasetti providing structural engineering services. The building will contain 241 loft condominiums and commercial and office space.
