We are pleased to announce that Thornton Tomasetti has joined more than 365 members of the U.S. business and investor community—from small family owned companies to Fortune 500 firms—by signing an open letter addressed to President-elect Donald Trump, as well as President Obama, members of Congress and other world leaders urging them to honor the Paris Climate Agreement and the United States’ commitments to combating climate change.
The open letter was issued on Nov. 16, 2016, during a press conference at the 22nd session of the Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP22) in Marrakech, Morocco. Signatories are reaffirming their pledge to do their part in building a strong, low-carbon economy and achieving the agreement’s goal of limiting global temperature rise well below 2 degrees Celsius this century. Thornton Tomasetti, which helps clients achieve high-performance and energy efficient buildings and strives to attain carbon-neutral business operations by 2030, supports this plea. We invite organizations to sign the advocacy letter before the Dec. 12, 2016, deadline.
