Amy Phillips leads the business development effort for Thornton Tomasetti’s Forensics, Property Loss Consulting, Renewal and Applied Science practices. She has more than 30 years of experience in business development, strategic planning and marketing within the architecture, engineering and construction industry and related fields.

Experienced Rainmaker
Working in collaboration with practice leadership, Amy develops and implements business growth plans. This includes identifying potential strategic relationships with clients and partners as well as new markets and service offerings. She is highly skilled at gathering and analyzing market research. She possesses an in-depth knowledge of the needs specific to development, design, construction and construction litigation professionals supporting the building industry.

Knowledge Sharing
Amy is a frequent speaker and presenter on topics related to operational, marketing and client development. She often leads professional development programs for attorneys, architects, developers, engineers and other consultants.

Outside of Work
Amy is an avid horsewoman. She lives on a working farm and spends much of her free time doing chores and enjoying her team. She volunteers as a local horse rescue, works with a horse club to raise funds and animal awareness and serves as a 4H mentor, helping to teach students about raising and showing horses. Amy is also a member of the National Capital Area chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and has served as an executive board member for the organization’s Leukemia Ball annual fundraiser.
