Through his passion for engineering, Andrew inspires others to rise to a higher level of professionalism.

Andrew Blasetti specializes in structural design, analysis and management for a range of large, complex projects. His portfolio includes educational facilities, high-rise residential and commercial buildings and mixed-use developments in the U.S. and internationally. Based in Philadelphia, Andrew started his career with Thornton Tomasetti in 2006 in the firm’s Newark office.

High-Rise Expertise
Adept in high-rise steel and concrete design, Andrew led the structural design team for Philadelphia’s Comcast Technology Center, which, when it topped out at 60 stories in 2018, was the tallest building in the U.S. outside of New York and Chicago. He was also heavily involved in the design for the 52-story 10 Hudson Yards, the first tower completed as part of the Hudson Yards Development in New York City.

Giving Back to the Profession
As a volunteer member of Villanova University’s Civil Engineering Advisory Board and through his involvement with the ACE Mentor Program, Andrew mentors high-school and college students interested in pursuing AEC careers.

Outside of Work
Andrew likes to travel and give his hiking shoes a good workout, with Mexico and Spain among his favorite destinations. He also gets inventive in the kitchen by experimenting with home brewing. He counts the New England IPA, oaked Philly porter and vanilla red ale among his successes.
