Being a resident engineer can be challenging, but it is a rewarding experience to successfully guide mega-projects and large-scale bridge reconstructions to completion.

James Dineen has an extensive background in bridges and highways. He has more than 25 years of experience in resident engineering inspection, design, biennial inspection, structural evaluation and preparation of preliminary and design plans.

Resident Engineering Expertise
James is an experienced resident engineer for major transportation projects in New Jersey and New York. His assignments include the Roosevelt Avenue bridge rehabilitation project in Queens, New York, and the demolition and replacement of the Shore Parkway bridge over Fresh Creek Basin in Brooklyn, New York. During his career, he has worked on all types of bridges, including those on highly traveled roadway corridors and involving commuter rail lines. James is actively engaged in projects for New York City and New York State departments of transportation.

Outside of Work
James enjoys hiking, swimming and spending time with his family. He is a fan of action movies and comedies, particularly those starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep. James also likes attending Broadway plays; one of his favorite productions is “Les Miserables.”
