Khaled is proficient in the preservation of historic structures and façades, as well as the modernization of multiple building types.

Khaled Othman has more than 15 years of experience in the structural investigation of buildings – including condition assessments, feasibility studies and forensic analysis –and also in the design of stabilization, repair and alteration to buildings. Joining Thornton Tomasetti in 1999, he is proficient in the preservation of historic structures and façades, as well as the modernization of multiple building types – from commercial to cultural and religious facilities, and from parking garages and tunnels to industrial buildings.

World Trade Center Recovery Operations
Along with many of his colleagues, Khaled was proud to deliver structural engineering services during the World Trade Center rescue and recovery operations after 9/11. He received a certificate of appreciation from the New York City Mayor’s Office, as well as recognition from many professional industry associations.

Outside of Work
Khaled and his wife have lived in New York for more than 22 years. He enjoys fishing, and playing basketball and soccer with his three children.
