During his long career, Leonid has played a key role in shaping the skylines of New York City and Moscow with critical high-rise projects.

Serving the construction industry in the United States for more than 30 years, Leonid Zborovsky oversees the Moscow office and serves on the leadership team responsible for integrating Thornton Tomasetti’s U.S., European and Eastern Europe operations. He has provided structural design, project management and construction supervision for numerous high-profile projects worldwide, including high-rise commercial and residential buildings, aviation and marine terminals, schools and universities, and sports and entertainment facilities.

Shaping the Moscow and New York City Skylines
Leonid’s notable high-rise projects in Moscow include Federation Towers and Eurasia Towers – the tallest buildings in Europe – and residential complexes for New Ring of Moscow. Under his supervision, the Moscow office is implementing building information modeling and Integrated Project Delivery technologies on several projects. His extensive design experience allows him to lead efforts that utilize many different types of structural materials including steel, cast-in-place and precast concrete, timber and masonry. He played a leading role in the design of New York’s World Financial Center and Winter Garden beginning in 1983 and was a the key leader in their reconstruction after the 9/11 attacks.
