Miki recognizes the importance of collaboration in all phases of a project and in having a strong team of marketing professionals who bring passion and creativity to their work.

Miki Watanabe is responsible for Thornton Tomasetti’s overall marketing effort, including the pursuit of new projects. Working in collaboration with the firm’s technical leaders, she identifies, develops and implements marketing initiatives in support of the firm’s strategic goals. Miki seeks to continuously improve the marketing services her team provides to the firm and our clients by streamlining processes, creating efficiencies and establishing best practices.

AEC Industry Expertise
Miki has some 15 years of marketing experience within the architecture, engineering and construction industry. Since joining Thornton Tomasetti in 2007, she has contributed to many of the firm’s significant project wins. Appointed director of marketing in 2013, Miki has overseen upgrades to the firm’s customer relationship management systems and instituted brand management and performance measurement initiatives.

Outside of Work
As a student of architectural history, Miki enjoys seeing her hometown of New York evolve with new projects. She also appreciates looking at unique architectural buildings during her travels. On weekends, she can often be found walking around her Brooklyn neighborhood with her husband and their mixed-breed rescue dog.
