About

Misam Imam serves as Mumbai co-office director and is a leader in our Structural Engineering practice. Misam joined Thornton Tomasetti in 2003. After spending eight years in the firm’s New York office, he returned to his home city of Mumbai to help establish our office there. He has an extensive background in the structural analysis, design and management of new building, renovation and expansion and peer review projects. His work spans across a wide range of structure types, including commercial and residential towers, education and healthcare facilities, hotels, sports and cultural venues and transportation infrastructure, in the United States, India and the Middle East. Misam played a leading role in the design of the Qatar National Convention Centre in Doha, Blythedale Children’s Hospital in Valhalla, New York and  Baku Olympic Stadium in Azerbaijan. Among his India projects are the National Tax Headquarters in New Delhi, Vrindavan Chandrodaya Mandir in Mathura, Raheja Revanta in Gurgaon and Mumbai’s Rivali Park.
