Reza is an avid researcher and analyst, publishing his findings in professional journals and speaking at conferences worldwide.

Mohammadreza “Reza” Farimani joined Thornton Tomasetti in 2006 and has experience in the structural analysis and design of steel and concrete structures including high-rise buildings and commercial, educational, residential, sports and mixed-use developments. He is responsible for analysis, design, preparation of drawings, and coordination and communication with outside consultants.

Reza also performs investigations and condition assessments worldwide – most notably the I-35W Bridge Collapse in Minneapolis – and has completed a long list of renovations and tenant build-out projects in the New York metropolitan region.

Giving Back to the Profession
Reza is an avid researcher and analyst, publishing his findings in numerous professional journals and speaking at conferences in Iran, China and Norway. He also served as an adjunct professor at New York University Polytechnic School of Engineering.

Outside of Work
Reza is busy with a new young son when not at the office, but in what little free time he can find, he is an avid runner and home renovator.
