Tom loves to fish for bass and walleye, a pastime he pursues during visits to the family’s lakeside cabin in northern Wisconsin.

Thomas Berry joined Thornton Tomasetti in 2014 with more than 30 years of experience in MEP design, operation, forensic evaluation and repair. He specializes in analysis and investigation of MEP systems and assemblies for manufacturing, industrial and commercial facilities. Tom is also skilled in project management, business development, process improvement and strategic planning.

Tom manages projects for the firm’s Forensics practice where he leads multidisciplinary teams of professionals and performs forensic MEP investigations and analysis, offers expert witness services and design for building renewal.

Three Decades of Experience
Prior to joining Thornton Tomasetti, Tom was a vice president at engineering consulting firm Unified Theory, Inc., where for 10 years he was responsible for establishing and growing the business as well as servicing clients in the greater Los Angeles area and Western U.S. He was also a manufacturing and engineering manager, serving as the corporate leader for engineering strategy and the corporate manufacturing liaison for key Fortune 500 original equipment manufacturers.

Outside of Work
Tom enjoys gardening, cooking, home improvement projects and sports. He also loves to fish for bass and walleye, a pastime he pursues with his wife and four children during visits to the family’s lakeside cabin in northern Wisconsin.
