I enjoy the constant challenge of solving problems posed by the unpredictable and unknown conditions we find when working on existing buildings.

A member of Thornton Tomasetti’s Renewal practice, Yasser Khalifa is an expert in structural renovations, alterations, additions and investigations for a variety of building types, including commercial, mission-critical, healthcare, transportation and educational facilities. He has also designed large-scale new buildings in the United States and internationally. In addition to building renovations, Yasser is well versed in data-center design and in the unique nuances and demands required for these highly technical and sensitive structures. He has performed structural design for new facilities as well as for modifications, renovations, conversions and additions to data centers for clients such as financial institutions, and data-center, web-services and communications providers.

Outside of Work
Yasser enjoys any activity that involves his son and daughter, especially golf, tennis and swimming. After purchasing a ping-pong table, the family quickly learned the game was more challenging than expected.
