Overview
As the primary tenant of EY Tower in Toronto, Ernst & Young occupies 225,000 square feet of office space within the 40-story building. The design of the office space promotes an ultra-flexible work environment by incorporating tech-enabled boardrooms, collaborative meeting spaces and an event space.
We provided acoustic, noise and vibration control services to HOK Architects for the project. The 40th floor comprises client-facing meeting and conference rooms, a main reception area, catering kitchen, lounge areas and an Innovation Ideation Centre. Additionally, the floor features a tenant amenity terrace, which serves as a mixed-use space for activities such as dining and speaking engagements.
Highlights
- The terrace is in a multi-story space with almost fully glazed walls, which would cause significant reverberant without acoustic treatments.
- We provided acoustic treatments that enhanced the visual aesthetic of the large-volume space while providing reasonable acoustic performance.
