Located in Moscow's financial district, the Federation Tower, once completed will be the tallest building
in Europe. Rising 345 meters high, this 87-story skyscraper will provide accommodation for offices, a
hotel, leisure facilities, and luxury apartments. Adjacent to this towering feat is an equally exquisite
counterpart, its 57-story twin. A 430-meter stiletto-like central spire connects these two sail-shaped
buildings. It is one of the first buildings in Russia utilizing high-strength concrete technology. The two
towers will also be connected via bridges which will contain restaurants and cafes. Federation Tower is
not only a symbol of Russia's commitment to its redevelopment and urbanization, but also of its new
wealth. In addition to structural engineering services, Thornton Tomasetti also provided curtain wall
consultancy and quality control and quality assurance.
