Thornton Tomasetti provided structural design for Eleven Times Square, a 630-foot, 975,000-square-foot new office tower at the corner of Eighth avenue and 42nd street. It consists of 38 stories above-grade with one cellar level and a 55-foot penthouse enclosure. The cellar level is used for retail and mechanical, the ground level for retail and office lobbies, the second floor is for commercial/retail uses, and floors three through 38 are for offices.

The tower has a concrete core which provided the most practical lateral system and steel floor framing. It is the first core-first office tower in New York. Utilizing Peri jump forms to construct the concrete core ahead of the steel floor framing allowed for a well-organized structural design and faster construction. The clean and efficient design and construction of this tower has opened the door in New York for the use of concrete cores in many other projects.

The building achieved LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
