311 S. Wacker Drive
Completed in 1990, this 65-story granite, concrete-framed building, designed by Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates, is a prominent figure on Chicago’s skyline.
Others conducted a critical examination in accordance with the City of Chicago Exterior Wall Ordinance on this structure. Thornton Tomasetti was retained to perform a peer review of the critical examination and ongoing repair documentation. Challenges included analysis of complex procedures due to the size and attachment of the cladding panels.
