Confidential Higher Education Data Center
Thornton Tomasetti provided structural design services for a new 46,000-square-foot data center housing 16,000 square feet of raised floor. The facility is a two-story steel framed structure with the infrastructure located primarily on the ground floor and data center white space on the second floor.
The project consolidates the data center needs of the university into one location with the ability to expand to twice its size. The project was designed to meet LEED certification.
