Confidential Sports Entertainment and Broadcasting Company
Thornton Tomasetti provided design services to electrical and mechanical systems for a mission critical application with fully automated and redundant 100% backup systems to support the 24/7 broadcasting of sports entertainment events on television. This administration and broadcasting facility is a 135,000-square-foot, four-story structure with an 85-foot-span bridge connecting the new building to another existing building on campus.
Thornton Tomasetti continued collaborating with TRO/Jung Brannen to provide multidisciplinary engineering services for several on-campus projects including the addition of an indoor and outdoor café with enclosed bridges that connect to an existing campus facility.
Many buildings were designed for the potential use as a backdrop during broadcasting. This required total flexibility in the design of mechanical and electrical systems.
