Indoor Equestrian Event Arena - Kentucky Horse Park
The Indoor Equestrian Event Arena for the Kentucky Horse Park is designed to attract world class equestrian events and will host the World Equestrian Games in 2010. It features an oval-shaped 135-foot by 300-foot arena floor, along with warm-up and staging accommodations for horses. A 200-foot long-span roof reaches across the event floor. Supertrusses on each side feature a segmented bottom chord to improve sightlines for the upper bowl and suites. The arena comprises amenities such as concessions, meeting rooms and exhibition spaces. The multi-purpose facility with a rigging capacity of 120,000 pounds can accommodate events such as concerts, trade shows and conventions.
