New York University Alumni Hall – Residence Hall
Thornton Tomasetti is providing an investigative evaluation and design engineering services for NYU on their 14 story, 151,160 square foot dormitory building located at 33 Third Avenue in New York City. The project includes the replacement of majority air-conditioning units with new high-efficiency PTAC units with remote DDC thermostats and occupancy sensors, upgrade of existing Vari-Vac system, and upgrade of existing lighting with new high-energy efficiency fixtures and controls. This is a two year project where construction will be phased over the two successive summers of 2008 and 2009 (during 15 week periods).
