PETCO Park, home of the MLB's San Diego Padres, is located within two miles of an active fault and is designed to meet the UBC requirements of Seismic Zone Four. A noteworthy feature of the stadium is the exclusive use of structural steel above the main concourse level, where structural members are exposed as key elements of the design aesthetic.
We provided structural design services to Populous for the stadium, which was completed in 2004.
