San Mateo County Administration Building
The five-story, 150,000-square-foot San Mateo County office building houses
the County Public Works department, Family Support Services, Tax
Collector/Treasurer, Assessor-Clerk-Recorder and Controller departments. A
single level of 30,000 square feet of below-grade parking connects to the
adjacent County Government Center with a new pedestrian tunnel.
The structure, a braced steel frame, is designed to maximum space planning
flexibility. A design-build process was utilized to deliver the project to the
County.
