Our rapid response to catastrophic events provides comprehensive on-site emergency engineering and architectural services designed to meet the specific
challenge of each event. Hours after the first airplane crashed into the World Trade Center, we provided and oversaw all engineering services including the
coordination of thirty-eight sub-consultant firms, operating 24/7 for nine months. We provided similar services following the 1999 Izmit earthquake in Turkey,
to stabilize damage at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul and return the facility to operation.
We travel to scenes of natural disasters and structural collapses to provide immediate damage assessment and assistance in an attempt to mitigate and stabilize
potentially dangerous situations. Emergency response services include:
Structural condition evaluation
Rapid preliminary assessments of buildings
Detailed forensic structural evaluations
Analysis of damaged buildings and special structures
Design/review of temporary stabilization
Demolition planning and phased scheduling services
Remedial or new structural design
A/E design services for temporary structures
Mechanical/electrical/plumbing/fire protection engineering assessment and remedial/replacement design
Engineering support for construction logistics
