A critical component of this work is an understanding of how structures behave in the transfer of loads from an existing foundation system to another. Load paths and movement-related stresses can be complicated and difficult to predict. Our expertise in building structures, foundation design and soil mechanics enables us to fully define and develop models of these transfers and to devise methods to mitigate movement-related stresses through pre-loading.
