Toronto’s east end has a new performing arts space. Streetcar Crowsnest, home to the city’s Crow’s Theatre company, opened its doors last week. Swallow Acoustic Consultants, which was acquired by Thornton Tomasetti earlier this month, provided the acoustical design for the 5,610-square-foot performing arts facility designed by DTAH Architects. The venue consists of three event spaces, including a 200-seat theater, and is located at the base of the Carlaw, a 12-story concrete condominium building developed by Streetcar Developments.
