James has overseen hundreds of projects in greater metropolitan New York, including deconstruction efforts at such landmarks as Yankee Stadium and the United Nations.

James Feuerborn has more than 20 years of experience in developing and supervising structural analysis, design, peer review, due diligence and condition assessments, failure and forensic investigations, renovations, litigation support and property loss consulting. He also oversees the New York Wall Street office. He has worked on a variety of building types – including commercial, residential and educational – as well as new and existing construction, in both the private and public sectors. James has extensive experience with a range of construction materials, including reinforced concrete, steel, aluminum, cast iron, masonry and wood.

An Extensive Body of Work in New York City and Beyond
James has overseen hundreds of projects in the greater metropolitan New York area, from supervising deconstruction at landmarks such as Yankee Stadium and the United Nations to providing emergency response services at Ground Zero in the wake of the World Trade Center disaster. His key project credits include the 130 Liberty St. deconstruction, East 51st St. and 1st Avenue crane collapses and the New York State Department of Transportation salt dome inspection and repairs. On his litigation support roster are an aviation project in Orlando, Florida, a medical arts building in New Jersey and a courthouse in New York state.

A Detail-Oriented Team Builder
James is as skilled at detailed project management as he is at building team collaboration. His responsibilities include development of plans, details and sections of contract drawings from conception to completion, and review of contractor’s submittals for compliance to technical specifications. At the same time, he manages other design team members and supervises the work of engineers and draftspersons, while also interacting with architects, attorneys, owners, developers, contractors, adjusters and insurance companies.

Academic Contributions
James has taught graduate courses in advanced structural systems, structural technology and lateral loads for the engineering department of the Institute of Design and Construction in Brooklyn.

Outside of Work
A sports enthusiast, James enjoys playing soccer, golf and volleyball. In the rest of his free time, he hangs out with his family, grilling his favorite meals as often as possible.
